Cannot pair and cannot install update

Hi Fitbit,

 

I’ve come to the conclusion that this is A$400 worth of rubbish. The ionic sporadically syncs with my android phone, I can’t install firmware updates, and now i can’t re-pair it with my phone again after I unpaired it in a bid to get the firmware update to begin. The Bluetooth connection is rubbish, I’m tired of having to lift my wrist to my headset to stop the sound dropping out, and it’s pot luck as to whether messages appear or not. I’m thoroughly disappointed and would return this waste of money if I had the option to. You’ve well and truly lost a once loyal customer.

Welcome back @Shazbot75. I appreciate the details you've mentioned. I'm sorry for the issues you've had with your Ionic, let me help you out resolving it. 

 

I would like you to make sure you have a supported device as this might be the reason why your watch doesn't sync properly to your mobile phone. If you're having any issue while updating your firmware update, I've noticed that sometimes is faster when you try with your computer. Additionally, if you have the latest Android version which is 8.0. There are some advices you can check to learn more about it Why is the Fitbit app sending a notification to my Android phone?

I'm experiencing the same issue.  I have an iPhone and windows 10, neither app / device is able to pair with my ionic or update the latest firmware.....

 

I've tried all the manual troubleshooting guidelines from your website.

Why does this issue say it's solved but when you go to Accepted Solution it is just someone agreeing with you? I'm having the same problem with my watch and the issue is most certainly not solved 😞
