Hi All.
I've recently lost the little metal (or plastic) 'stud' or nodule that clips the wrist band together.
Anyone else ever lost this and is it replaceable?

I agree with the above.
Mine fell off as well this past weekend. I have only had it a few weeks.
It is not mounted into the strap very securely. The material of the band is very soft where it is fastened. It stretches and allows the clasp to pull through too easily if contact is made in that location during an activity.
Hope Fitbit will provide a fix or redesign. It would be proper for them to provide a recall to all it's customers.

Fitbit is just another big company that doesn't care and probably doesn't even read our posts. If they did, they would have already fixed this problem by making those little metal peices available. But they want you to buy a whole new band. It's all about how much money they can squeeze out of us!!!

Absolutely ridiculous, I’ve lost both of mine now! Definitely a design fault!

Design flaw by Fitbit should not cost the customer $30 every time a part of the band falls out!
My husband had the same problem, used a binder clip as a substitute. Easy to find and cheap.

I've lost four of these little suckers, already acquired the one from mine and the wife's spare strap. I've found a really cheap answer, just purchased two knock-off bands for just under six pounds including packaging . Chuck the cheapo bands in the bin after removing the offending studs _ perfect fit and saved £20 . I have 1 spare and Fitbit won't be getting any more profit from me !

Amazon has an excellent choice of replacement watch bands at reasonable, inexpensive prices. I just typed "Fitbit ionic watch bands" in the search engine.

I have also lost the ‘wee stud’ and feel the perfectly good strap should not be discarded. I had an old waterproof sports watch & strap which had two small bands doing the same job. It now has one and one is on the Fitbit strap. Working well.

Two solutions worked for me. One user mentioned the second band that fitbit ships. Sure enough I had it and was able to use it. Another user mentioned checking Amazon. Great tip! They have the fitbit style bands for $4.98, plus a bunch of other styles relatively cheap.

I also lost both of the metal clasps that came with the watch. My solution was to get wide band from my previous fitbit and remove the circular clasp from it. It sorta fit this band. It is circular with an attached clasp that is part of it, so it won't come loose. The fit isn't as tight as I would like, but it can't be lost. I did not have a problem with losing the Ionic, just that the tag end was loose. This fixes that problem for the most part. Fitbit could have used that design for this watch and avoided all these hassles.

This is not the 'best' answer. That would be simply to get a clasp from fitbit. We don't need another band.

why are there not any clasps? they easily fall off. now the tail of the band flappers around. Why should i have to buy a new band especially since changing the band is a pain to do.

Fitbit - this isn’t an acceptable solution. I’ve lost two clasps now - one wrangling items into an airport security check, then I used the one for the spare band, now one lifting heavy furniture. It is a design flaw that they fall out so easily that shouldn’t exist on a top of the range product. Yet Fitvit is gouging $30 out of customers for a whole new band and creating unnecessary plastic waste by producing and supplying the silicone straps that all the many commenters on this thread don’t need.edi stern sort out the design fault. Short term sell the clasp only for £1 or $1. It’s shameful corporate behaviour.

I am sick of this. What a truly apalling state of play. I've lost three clasps. I have had enough. Love the watch, hate that I am forced to buy into another brand but at the end of the day, if this is the standard Fitbit play at, I am not playing.

The same happened to me. It started getting loose and would often come off. Eventually I lost it when removing a jacket. I contacted FitBit but of course they wanted to sell me a whole new band saying my device was past the one year warranty. It's kind of sad but a good way to make money for them. I search the web and found a few places where you can order the clasp. That's the route I'm going as my band is in perfect condition.

I agree that this is a design flaw... is it to make us buy more bands? There are some online sites that will sell you the clasp only.
