Will the music on Ionic watch play with all bluetooth compatible headphones, including Apple Airpods, or is it only compatible with the Fitbit Flyer headphones?

Holding the button down on the back seemed to do the trick.

You are right, I can connect the AirPods with no problems, but you cannot control the volume in anyway.
I have tried to get a solution from Fitbit with no success

This isn't true. They don't connect properly/easily with airpods and after a successful connection, there is currently no way to control the volume from the watch.

No mate this iconic is not at all working with apple AirPod pro. I have raised this query long while ago but no response yet. Seems they don’t want to resolve the issue. Very bad experience with ionic.

ErickFitbit, it may be able to connect to any Bluetooth compatible device, but even to this day, 12/26/2020, an Ionic cannot control Airpod's volume. Extremely disappointing. Renders the Ionic nearly useless for running and forces me to use my Apple watch instead. Smooth move, Fitbit.
