Our Ionic was unresponsive and Fitbit's suggested troubleshooting remedies (pressing various buttons to do a factory reset) did not work. My wife plugged the Ionic into a USB port on her Macbook Pro and it immediately shorted out. We've now lost a $1,300 computer and still no working Fitbit.
We've had the same problem (unit won't charge and non-responsive) with 2 Ionics. You would think Fitbit would have this problem fixed by now. Thinking of filing a claim against Fitbit for the cost of the computer.

Hi @Bostock had your wife ever put the Ionic to charge on her Macbook before? Seems odd. Was your wife's Macbook plugged into an electrical source when it happened?
