Constant Notifications

I am getting text and call notifications, and after awhile I get notifications to clear all. After I have cleared it, my tracker is constantly vibrating and showing the message "nothing new here". When I say constantly I mean their are times it will do it 6 times or more a minute. I have updated the app, restarted my phone (iPhone 7), turned off the notifications and have restarted the Ionic, but it keeps happening. As you can imagine it's driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

This seems more like the bottom right button is getting stuck than an issue with the software or the app. Try cleaning the surroundings of the button or using canned air.

This doesn't appear to be the problem. The button isn't sticking, however I did clean it off. It likes to send this constant notification more often when I am sleeping or relaxing. In other words when I'm not active. As I mentioned earlier, I have turned off the notifications, however this message keeps coming through. I had this same issue a few weeks ago and than it just stopped. Now it's back, only a lot worse.

How frustrating, @CoachLynne! Sounds like a problem for Support

I am having the same problem except mine is with the no music available.  It constantly notifies me that I have no music available even though I'm not asking it nor do I want my music available.  I also notice it happens a lot more when I'm driving were sleeping and in fact has woken me up in the middle of the night, twice.

Fit back told me to do a factory reset which I did about a month ago and it worked until this past week.  I have done 3 factory reset in the last 3 days and nothing stops it.

I reached out to fit bit and they wanted me to take a video of this happening which is very hard since most of the time I'm driving or resting.  I did get one but they want me to put some claim number in the video with the watch which I did not do and then when it was all said and done the video I did take would not upload to my email.

I am at my wits end and will likely stop wearing the watch altogether because the barrage of notifications is beyond annoying.

I got this watch is a gift and it was opted for over the garman because of price but obviously you get what you pay for because I have only been wearing this watch for less than 2 months and it's already basically broken.

This sounds EXACTLY what I am dealing with. It happens more at night or when I'm sitting at my desk at work. I have reset and updated everything! I was also told to make a video, but it hasn't done it since I called. They said that the bottom, right button is sticking. However, if that was the case, when I push the left button it should restart my tracker, but it doesn't do that.

It is exhausting.  I have performed so many factory resets, I have lost count.  Emails back and forth with solutions that aren't practical.  In my opinion for the money is costs, they should send me one BEFORE I send mine back.  This whole thing is infuriating and I am quite honestly over it.

Right? I have really liked my past Fitbits (three before getting the Ionic). I just look forward to having one that works properly again. It's very frustrating to go for a run and having the tracker stop and start all the time and getting bogus stats because of it.

I am at my complete wits end.  I can no longer sleep with it on and it is insanely distracting. I am through with Fitbit. Going back to Garmin.  Slightly more expensive but the last time I had one, it lasted me 5 years with NO problems.

I kyep getting the notifications 'Nothing new here's and the watch seems to get stuck in a mode for logging a run. I keep having to do a forced shutdown and a few minutes after waking the watch again the problem repeats itself.

Never had issues like this with the Surge which I had for years. I am very disappointed with the new Fitbit Ionic which I purchased only a few weeks ago and am having these issues already!

🙁

After multiple emails, back and forth for three weeks, I have finally sent mine back to the "warehouse" to be "fixed" but to be honest, I am not hopeful.  I emailed with so many different people, I never even knew who I was talking with by the end.  So many different responses!

I actually called at one point, too.  The woman was SO RUDE and at one point said she couldn't take any more time with me.  The problem is that this is THEIR problem.  I did nothing wrong.

I only had the device for 5 weeks.  It hasn't worked properly in 3 weeks and now I am looking at 10 days best case scenario before I have it back.  So it will have been useless for longer than I had it.

I feel worst for my boyfriend- he bought it as a gift.  I wish he had splurged and gotten me the Garmin.  I never had a problem with my previous one and all the Ionic has been is one problem after another.

I would continue to reach out to them to get yours fixed.  Reading reviews online, it is obvious that they are very defective.  So many terrible reviews.

Did you ever get this fixed?  I am having this issue starting today and it's crazy annoying!  I've even turned off ALL notifications from my phone and yet it still gives me the "Nothing new here. You're all caught up!" message.  I've resetted it, I've shut it down.  I even changed the clock face thinking that an "update" will fix it.... Nothing!

Did you get this fixed?

I'm not sure why, but it seems to have fixed itself soon after I call customer support. I hope the situation resolves for you soon.

I am having the same issue.... support suggested that I clean the buttons. That is not the issue. This may be my last Fitbit product! I don’t want to be notified that all is clear when I am sleeping!

Same issue here, spoke to a real jerk from support and the only option is to send it in to the warehouse and that can take a month,

Did anyone ever find a solution to this?

This has been going on for a couple of days for me, but with a Versa not an Ionic. It's stopped logging my heart rate data correctly and keeps starting run mode when I'm asleep and /or vibrating and saying 'nothing new here'

Hi everyone! Thanks for sharing the inconveniences you have had with the notifications and vibrations. For the ones that are still having issues, you can try restating the tracker, refreshing the notifications and setting up the Fitbit as a new device.

If this doesn't help, please let me know, I'll be around! Robot Happy

This just started happening to my Versa. I've done restarts and resets. I'll try setting up as new device. Has fitbit determined why this is happening? I would have expected an update fix by now.
