This bright white background is offensive in this day and age. Its blinding at night, and not just for you - it lights up the whole room! Such that it's not worth using the alarms & silent alarms was part of the purchase. It's blinding on evening or morning walks (and runs according to numerous other users). It drains battery while accomplishing nothing and making it hard to read. It's silly to STILL not have this now standard App feature. Every other App I use, even free ones that don't require $400+ purchase to utilize, have a dark mode or dark theme.

Best AnswerThanks for replying Ricardo. But note for your suggestion that this has been done for Dark Mode OVER AND OVER already on the Fitbit forums for YEARS - and we, the paying clients, are still waiting... We've posted, re-posted, voted for other's posts, we've had a formal App request... and it's all closed - yet STILL NOT DONE. This is a fairly simple request - the App is built with a color that the developer selects - if it's just too difficult for the developer to make one option - just select a darker color for everyone. Again - a ton of free Apps on Android already do this, and I truly believe that if kids at home building apps online can figure this out then so can Fitbit. I'll re-post it there again - but this time we'd like some results!
above there's the link to the next Feature Suggestion - everyone please go vote there as well...
That Feature Suggestion was closed by another moderator. You have to go vote for this other closed "request":
Yea, that's dumb I know. But I don't set the Forum process up...
Best AnswerAgree. The way Fitbit makes users dig through the community and upvote comments to get features added show total disconnection with the state of app development in the world. Features like dark dark mode shouldn’t require years of upvoting and discontent of users. Seriously, if Microsoft has a dark mode, maybe an App should have it. Come on FitBit please listen to your loyal customers.
From what I have read, with all due respect, You are fools!
The Fitbit Sense got to me today and the first thing I looked for after setting it up is dark mode in the app, bit of course isn't there.
Since I have trouble seeing and need high contract images, I am sure I will return the product.
The SmartWatch display is also dim to my eyes...
Thanks for all!
It feel like someone working in Fibit is trying really hard to make this company lose to competitors. Even dark mode is still not implemented and its not even planned.
I've come across this addon " Dark Reader " for firefox that make all sites into dark mode, works for fitbit site as well and its FREE!. Somebody did it for free while paid programmers here are struggling.
We pay so much to fitbit including premium and they can't even make their UI dark theme.
@eMaoTheOriginalIt might be useful for you at least for the website, they have an option to adjust contrast even.

For the android Fitbit app you can follow this guide to force it to switch to dark mode. Not perfect but better than nothing.
https://www.sammobile.com/news/how-to-force-dark-mode-in-all-apps-on-android-10-on-your-galaxy-s10-n...
Apparently this is not true, that you "We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services"
And "we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our users here in the Community Forums."
I have made this request for dark mode multiple times over the last year. I see this has been requested here for the last 6mo.
Including well articulated forcefully by https://community.fitbit.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2512772
And worse, it has been requested since at least 2016 on the link you suggest to go to to "make your ideas heard".
Apparently such a simple and obvious function, something accomplished by others, is not on your list.
It is a stopper.
It needs to be announced and then implemented asap.
The ongoing lack of even a response other than "Nope... we are not looking at it", along with your cynical "Just keep asking for it".
is rude. Worse... it will cause you to loose customers. I am on the edge.
It is particularly harsh to open the fitbit app on the iPhone in these dark day mornings and have to recover from the light blast while cussing, again, while going to the settings to turn the screen down to almost off.
Fix this g.**ahem** thing would you please. It’s not that hard. Why so resistant?
~Michael
I included you in my reply.

I don't think Fitbit gives a **ahem**.
It is silly that they are being so reluctant about such a simple thing to implement.
I suppose it won't be long before I move on...
Thanks for supporting this Yesx... If Fitbit cares about it's paying customer - maybe they'll start reading here. Especially for so SIMPLE a solution.
I won't hold my breath. ~ L
As an added insult, Android has a built in force dark mode.. which makes the app look like this (it's not perfect and can create difficult to read parts in some apps, which is why I don't use it normally)..

I badly want dark mode! To use the new sleep features and oxygen saturation levels you have to open the app to sync first thing in the morning. The bright white app shining painfully into my eyes is a daily annoyance. Apple and most iOS apps have dark mode now. In fact FitBit is the only app I have that isn’t already on dark mode. FitBit is behind the times.
Got my first Fitbit for Xmas, it's 2022 and there is no dark mode. The best answer link is from 2017, that's how long it's been asked for. Surely an easy fix. Or are Fitbit just going to give up on the Fitbit App instead for Wear OS
