I had to buy a new watch as my second ionic is not working again for the price of the ionic and the **ahem** charging lead you get with it, you would be best of counting your steps manually than have to rely on this.

Best AnswerHi! I had a similar issue with my Ionic not charging. I noticed that when I wiggled it around the charger it was going in and out. After hiking I needed to clean the crevice of the charging port with a safety pin. There was barely anything there, but I guess it was just enough so that all of the prongs weren't fully touching. You might try this so you can return the other watch and maybe get some money back.
It might also just be the cable? You can buy the cable on it's own pretty cheap and it'll save you a whole lot more than buying a whole new watch.
