My wife have had 4 different models. They all fail within a year. At best you need to live with their defects. Consider your investment a sunk cost. Move away from FitBit products.

I'm sorry but I do not agree. I have had all my devices for 3-4 years.
I really think it depends on charging and other factors. if She has been though several models something is wrong on her end sorry
See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

I had 2 Ionics failed, one after 13 months and one only after 5 months. And yes, both of them were properly charged via approved chargers and both of them, despite being advertised for swimming, never seen water.

So by now, we all know Ionic isn't a reliable product. How about other fitbit products such as Versa or the Charge 3? Do they also break around a year?
