I have been using my fitbit iconic for over a year without problem but now the back button is not working.

I have restarted the watch numerous times, cleaned around the button and even put it in an ultra sonic cleaner (I turned it off first) to clear any dirt from the button. Worked great for cleaning the charging terminal but the back button still does not work. Anyone got any suggestions? Getting desperate.
