Hi, this morning I noticed my fitbit Ionic was dead, thinking the battery had run down overnight I put it on for charge but there is still no response. I've tried to reboot by pressing the left and bottom right buttons for 12 seconds but still no response. Any suggestions on anything else I could try please? Much appreciated.
@Simon998 there are tons of other customers like us in this forum with exactly the same problem and Fitbit clearly will do nothing to solve this major design problem. In short, we were stolen by Fitbit. It is time to move to another brand.
My ionic just died about 2 days ago. I got it as a gift for my birthday last November so it is not even a year old yet. But same as you, I woke up Wednesday and it was dead. I tried cleaning it out, two different chargers, different ports, and pressing the buttons but nothing has worked. The night before it still had 72% battery. I am not sure what else to do either.
This same thing happened to mine. I called customer service 1-877-623-4997, they literally spent 5 mins or less told me to hold the same buttons, even after I told them that I just did that!!! STILL DIDNT COMEON. They were quick to point out that my watch was out of warranty, mind you it was the end of may 2018 when it was purchased BRAND NEW. They refuse any further assistance and refused to give the number for CORPORATE , said they dont take phone calls.
A lot of them are not even lasting a full year, we just don't see the dissatisfaction yet because the replacement devices haven't died on those who got replacements yet. My devices lasted 11 months then the replacement only lasted 9.
Jayadi, call support. Since you are within the year you should at least get a replacement, that will last a few months hopefully. Many aren't so lucky.
Best AnswerIt is very disappointing that the Ionic just seems to die randomly!
I at least got the 2-year coverage thru Best Buy when I got it in June 2018.
Now Best Buy is replacing it, but they are no longer offering extended coverage on Fitbit watches - if that doesn't tell you these watches are unreliable, then you are not listening.
Fitbit - try to make these awesome watches last longer than 1 year or a year and a half!
Sadly, you're losing another customer! 😞
