This is my second Ionic, which I've had for about a year now. My first one froze and would not reboot after 2 years.
Anyway, I've not had any issues with my current Ionic up until last weekend where it would stop syncing up with my phone (Nokia 9 on Android 10). Initially I thought my phone was having connectivity issues and I would turn airplane mode on/off and restart it (since that's the usual culprit when I have sync issues), but that would not fix the issue. I then rebooted the Ionic and it would immediately connect to my phone. However, after maybe 10 - 15 minutes it would stop syncing again and it wouldn't sync until I reboot the Ionic.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? Is my Ionic defective?
Thanks.

You have to keep restarting Bluetooth and pressing the sync button to hope against all odds that a connection can be made for just a few seconds.

Mine Has Not synced since 4:17 PM last night.I have completed every action I've ever had to complete in the past to get it to sync. It just won't happen. I have tried it on multiple devices both android and My Amazon fire. This is a replacement for anionic that shut down with less than a years service...Sort of a fade to black issue with no return to Usefulness.I pray the issue is on there and and they let us know with some sort of Notification.I have been a Fitbit user starting out with the 1 going through several over the years but I am ready to switch to another system if they can't get this to work right. Just as a n aside,When I go swimming get ignores my 1st 2 links before it starts counting Since the most recent update. Not sure why they update if they don't have it right. It should be updated with a limited amount of testers to make sure it's working correctly before we're all slammed with the Update that doesn't work

I have the same or at least a very similar problem with my Ionic. One thing i noticed is that the sync works more often when the charging cable is plugged in and the watch is charging. Often the sync happens the moment i plug the Ionic in but unfortunately it looses connection very soon after that almost every time.

I sent an email to Fitbit support which ended up being very unhelpful. They basically suggested that my connectivity issues are due to having a phone that is not in the list of "supported devices", which to me is BS since I've not had any issues for the past year with it.
Anyway, I decided to try a factory reset on the Ionic and initially it looked promising, but then it lost connectivity again and wouldn't reconnect until a reboot. Strangely enough when I went for a run on the treadmill this morning, it connected and has stayed connected since. I really don't know what fixed it, but I'm glad it appears to be working again.

Since the evening of 2/9/20, my Ionic is not syncing. I have rebooted the tracker and my iPhone 8 many times. The blue tooth is not pairing with the tracker. I removed the Ionic from the blue tooth list as suggested by a message from the Fitbit app and now it cannot locate my Ionic for pairing. Also, I use my Ionic for my alarm and it is not keeping the correct time. Alarm did not go off the past two mornings as planned!
