Fitbit Ionic not working

My ionic died this morning.  I've had it on the charger for 6 hours, switched outlets and chargers and it will not power on.  I've tried the factory reset, I've tried all three buttons, I've tried to sync it, I've tried the left and bottom button, I've cleaned the sensors, absolutely nothing works.  I don't think the battery was even low enough for it to just die.  I just bought 10 bands for this thing last week and now I can't even use it bc it won't turn on.  I haven't even had it a year yet.

Same here, mine started mid week last week, tried cleaning sensors,  charger,  tried a different charger,  tried charging from laptop USB... nothing.   Love my Ionic, and it lasted longer than some from what I'm reading... had it 2.5 years... swam with it, ran, biked wasn't gentle with it but still seems a bit short on battery life span.   Might go with a different brand if this is the norm for the Fitbit brand! 😞  hoping it's a glitch that needs some time,  want to be patient due to the virus,  but meanwhile I feel naked without my Ionic!!

My Ionic slowly started to not light up so the screen could be read after pushing the left button. I use this device 24/7 and I need to be able to read it.

Thank you for your reply. I think the seal has been compromised on my Ionic also! This latest event all started when I got caught in a driving Texas rain storm. It has come back, however, I will see if the FITBIT Awesome Customer Service will send me another replacement.

OK, Ionic users!!!!!! Don't give up the ship just yet, however, please put on your life preservers. Here is what I did: used a mild soft soap and gently with tender loving care messaged the soap into the back of the watch, thoroughly rinsed and gently dried the back. Did the all three button reset, and everything came back on! I use the heck out of this Ionic with running, hiking, swimming, & cycling, and it has served me quite well. This is the first time I have so thoroughly cleaned it. Thank you all for your awesome input and suggestions. Hope I only see ya on the exercise trail and not on this site!

Try holding left and bottom right buttons together until the logo shows. It c/b as long as 30secs.

Have done that many times and the hard three button reset nothing works just have the logo flashing on the screen every few mins. Sad times.

IronMike2, if I ever meet you I'm going to have to hug the stuffing out of you!! After my Ionic, bricked Friday, I had tried all the steps Fitbit and other sites,  folks mentioned...no deal.   Last night before I had the garbage memorial service, saw your post and thought what the heck one last try...IT WORKED!! Pressed and held all 3 buttons, the 0% battery flashed,  plugged it into the charger,  after 30min still no life but 0% was still showing up,  so left it on the charger over night... this am...IT IS ALIVE...100%, hour later so far looking and acting like nothing ever had happened!! God bless, and happy workouts to you!!

I had the same problem  - in charger for 8 hours  - nothing - - I pressed all three buttons simultaneously and held for 10 /12 seconds  -- - that seemed to work for now as it did start up but  odd thing was it did not charge during the 8 hours....so I have it connected to charger now  - - we'll see..... I've owned a fitbit device now for 6 or so years so LOTS of data stored   - would hate to loose it all... fingers crossed this time it charges!!

Same here, but only after 2 year and 3 months, so just after my two year warranty period. Does anybody has an expert review on the supposed lifetime for a Ionic? In my opinion 2 years is way to soon, for such an expensive watcht!

I've had my Ionic for over 2 years. Yesterday I charged it in the car with a different power base adapter using the car's power socket. It only was plugged in a short while and never charged. I googled a solution and plugged it into my computer but it didn't charge. I left on charger all night and still no charge just a black screen. Cleaned it with gentle soap and a bit of alcohol on the receptor, I have tried the soft reset many times and all 3 buttons at the same time. Still no luck. It appears that there is moisture inside the Sensors. How do I post a screen shot or picture of it? I am charging it again and will update. I also emailed tech support this morning.Thanks.

So mine after two days started working again... Then this happened.

the face just half fell off!

So I'm guessing the seal had gone and that's why mine went bust.. Two years seems to be the max really..
