This topic comes as a result of the complete lack of support and clarity given by Fitbit. I have completed multiple random "troubleshooting" steps for Fitbit staff, I have sent lots of information and every time someone sends me to another person and no one takes any responsibility.
The Interval Timer workouts feature on Fitbit OS is broken. Here are steps to replicate on Ionic or Versa:
1. Select the Interval Timer Mode
2. Ensure GPS is on (on watch for Ionic on linked phone for Versa)
3. Do your workout
4. Press finish/end and allow to sync to your device
Results:
1. On an iOS device a map does not load showing the route you ran.
2. The activity will not sync to any 3rd party i.e. strava etc.
3. The TCX file cannot be downloaded from the website citing and error "The activity TCX file could not be dowbloaded. We are looking into this issue".
I have replicated the issue many times and confirmed it with other users. Fitbit are not being upfront.
Please do not edit my subject "for clarity" as I will just recreate with the same again if this occurs. The subject is correct as this feature does not work and of something isn't working it's......... broken!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
G

No I don't believe it has ever worked, this is why I wanted attention drawn to it as the map not displaying on iOS is symptomatic of a larger issue with the way in which the Interval Training is tracked and then processed.

@SunsetRunner it didn't work when I evaluated Ionic, and I don't think its ever worked.
Good luck pushing Fitbit to getting it working!

Glad I am not crazy. I just posted in an older thread about a similar issue, but this one matches exactly what I have been seeing. It never worked. One of the selling points of the Ionic is so you don't have to take your phone, but if you want to do anything except a basic GPS activity you pretty much have to bring your phone along as an interval timer.

Yeah its a big issue for me anyway! I'm surprised more people aren't finding this very frustrating.....
