Fitbit Pay doesn't recognize Fitbit Wallet

I was able to set up FitBit wallet in the Android app successfully, and I received an email from my bank that I'm good to go. I tested it on my watch and everything seemed to be in working order.

A few few days later I tried to use the watch to make a purchase at BestBuy, but this time the watch said that in order to use Fitbit Pay, I have to add a credit card in the Wallet section of the app.  I checked the Wallet section of the app and the card is still there.

Ive restarted the app, signed out and back in to the app, nothing works.

It's nice to see you around the forums my friend @IslaReina! Can you verify if you entered and activated you PIN code for Fitbit Pay using these instructions?

Give this a shot and let me know if you're able to use Fitbit Pay once enabling your PIN code. Smiley Wink

I ran into this issue yesterday, and I had to re-sync my card to fix it. Initially I had trouble getting the card to re-sync, but these steps seemed to have fixed it.

  1. Restart the tracker (not sure if this is strictly necessary)
  2. Kill and re-open the Fitbit app on your phone
  3. In the phone app, go to Wallet and tap Suspend Card
  4. Wait a few seconds and un-suspend the card
  5. Tap the button to sync your card

Edit: after posting this I checked my Ionic and found that I had been hit with this bug again. I tried to re-sync the card without restarting or suspending the card, and the tracker got stuck in a state where trying to view the card or swiping right-to-left to view my apps just showed a "Syncing card from phone..." screen. I had to do a hard reboot of the tracker and then the above steps fixed it for me.

This seems like a really bad bug. I wonder if it's related to a recent Fitbit app update, because I didn't have this problem before.

Edit 2: as @SunsetRunner pointed out in my other thread about this issue, this fix tends to only be temporary. For me, the card disappeared again after half an hour or so.

@IslaReina This is a known issue and has been reported to Fitbit support and commented here in several threads, https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Fitbit-wallet-card-removed/td-p/2278488 for one, as well as the pinned “Using Fitbit Pay”.

Sadly nothing fixable at the moment.
