Whenever I start a workout the device freezes and then force restarts. This is the 2nd watch that this has happened to me on.

Good Morning @SunsetRunner and sorry to hear your having problems. Is this happening in ALL of your Exercises, or just selected ones? Also, at what point is this happening? Are you using GPS and/or Music when this is happening? Just trying to get a complete understanding to better assist you.

@SunsetRunner I've had an Ionic since the product line was released and currently have the Ionic Adidas Edition. I use the Exercise App with GPS and Music on an every other day basis and have never had a hiccup. However, saying that I am aware that people have reported similar issues like yours sporadically.
I would suggest that you perform a RESET on your Ionic. Here is how: Press and hold the left and bottom right buttons together, until the Fitbit icon appears, then release.
This will generally fix all of the little inconveniences and hopefully will resolve yours as well. Please let me know and thanks!
