My ionic was still recording my steps and said it was syncing with my app. But the app was not recording my sleep or steps the following day. This happened for three days.
On one of the days the ionic said I had walked 20k steps but I hadn't.
Have tried factory reseting the ionic and now it it just stuck on the diamond fitbit logo.

Is the logo blinking? This is what happened to mine before it eventually just started lighting up random pixels and then died. Mind you, this is what happened to the replacement Ionic they sent me after 2 days. My first one just black screened.

Yup, blinks every 10 seconds or so

Unfortunately it will most likely die. Is it still under warranty? You can get the free Ionic if so, but honestly, as someone going through that process right now... ehhhhhhhh. If you look a few post below yours, I posted about how my first warranty replacement died in 2 days, and now having just received my second, it's got skin gunk in the charging port and is scratched up... so not even a well done refurbishment. I'm sorry yours is doing this, it looks like it's a pretty common thing unfortunately. >.<

Mine is doing the same, the diamond os always showed on the screen. What are the steps to get my Ionic working again? Or should I ask for a replacement to Fitbit? My Ionic is only 1 year old and for that price, this should not happen

Update: received my 'new' fitbit today. All it was was a reconditioned, dented interface. An absolute joke after paying £250 for an item which lasted 6 months and now cannot be used through no fault of my own. I haven't even bothered opening the dented watch interface as I will be complaining and requested a brand new fitbit. Absolutely appalling, disgusting customer service and I won't be recommending fitbit to anyone!!!

Hi! Mine has been doing the same thing for a month. Tried resetting it to its default values but it won’t give me enough time to do so, just goes right back to the diamond screen and gets stuck there. This all started after one day in which it recorded like 50k steps even though I was sitting at work. Tried updating it through the app but it won’t detect the device while stuck in the diamond screen. From what I’ve read, it seems it is dead, which is just ridiculous given that the clock is a year old at best. What should I do!

After attempting the new firmware update my fitbit versa lite was stuck on the logo screen in white. I plugged my fitbit into the usb port of my playstation, and wala! It completed the install, and is working perfectly. It just needs the extra power to finish sense it doesnt get much throw bluetooth. You can also plug into pc/laptop. Good luck!

My Adidas Ionic is also stuck on the diamond logo. It hasn’t changed for over 24 hours and I’ve tried all the resets.
What do I need to do ?

Sean this is happening to me on a regular basis - in fact I've just looked at my fitbit and its doing it right now - that's twice in one morning now.
I find I have to hold down the left button and the lower right button simultaneously until the diamond logo disappears. I sometimes have to do this several times until I feel the fitbit give a small vibration and then the watch face appears - normally showing the wrong time (at present it is over one hour behind).
I then link the watch up to my computer and open the Fitbit app then sync. It will then start charging the battery - it will come up on the watch saying charging has failed even though the symbol on the watch indicates it is. I tap the okay and lift the fitbit off the charger and then replace it.
I then open the Fitbit app and sync - again it normally gives a small vibration and then displays the watch face - which it has just done and it's still displaying the wrong time. Eventually - and I'm not sure when - it will display the correct time.
After all that I see that the Fitbit Logo has appeared and is flashing every few seconds again - so I'm not sure what's going on now!
Administrators can we get this investigated and sorted ASAP please?

Sorry I forgot to mention (as per the second paragraph) when the watch face displays I then swipe and go into Settings and shut the device down. I then do the normal restart keeping the same buttons depressed until the logo appears and then proceed as I say in the remainder of my post.
My watch at the moment is running 10 minutes behind and charging up.
We seemed to have paid a lot of money for a broken watch! Not happy at all!

Yojana I have been experiencing the same problems. I read in the thread that someone had tried Factory Reset which I have now done and my Fitbit is showing no signs of life - it is completely blank. It had a full charge to begin with and I have put it on charge for 2+ hours now with no result. I have only had the device since February 2020. Please help.

Hope you're all well. OK, so you must be getting tired of hearing this, but last night, my Ionic 'bricked'. The app on my phone can't find the Ionic, so it won't sync, or do anything. It gets stuck on the diamond logo screen, when I try to restart. I've tried this several times, both with the Ionic disconnected from the charger, and connected to a power source, and also to my computer via the USB cable. Nothing.
I've had the Ionic since May 2018. Overall, I've had a few issues with the Ionic, but it looks like this time it's finally died. Having looked through the forum topics, this kind of issue is obviously very common.
What are my options?
Thank you, and regards
Karl
