Hello
I went for a run today that lasted approx 3h 30m and when I started my battery was around 95%.
Unfortunately my watch died after approx 2h 30m which is a lot quicker than I expected?!

Yes, using GPS drains the battery faster as does listening to music.

Welcome to the Community @MikeyAllan31! Your Ionic's battery should last up to 10 hours, if you're using GPS. There are some tips that you can follow to improve the Fitbit device's battery life.
I would like you to restart your Ionic and make sure you're fully charging it.
Thank you for your advise @SunsetRunner!
Hope this helps. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I tried all of the things suggested and still no joy.
I ran a half marathon today and despite starting the race with 95% battery, the watch died after less than 2 hours.
Can you please advise how this can be resolved as the watch is useless to me like this?!

Today I used my Ionic to track my bike ride. After 2.5hours (17miles) it still had 65% battery left. Do you think that the GPS tracking uses more battery for tracking when running?

I run a full marathon last year (4h 45', yes I am a very slow runner) and my Ionic ended with 20% of juice left. I didn't listen to any music and of course the display was set to auto and now always active.

It sounds like both your watches are working properly and there must be an issue with mine.

Thank you for getting back @MikeyAllan31! Sorry for the delay on my reply. I appreciate that you've performed the troubleshooting, I provided above. It shouldn't die too soon when you're in a marathon.
I've created a case on your behalf with Support, they will continue assisting you on this matter.
Thanks for sharing your experience @Burns and @Giampi71! When you're using the GPS, it might drain the battery a bit, you can learn more about it by checking this article Can I improve my Fitbit device's battery life?.
Hope this helps. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Hi @MikeyAllan31, I hope Fitbit customer support get to bottom of this and help you get the issue resolved. The customer support is pretty good. I had a faulty Fitbit Surge years ago and they replaced it for free.
