How to clear all notifications?

Is the only way to clear all notifications to scroll all the way down to the bottom of notifications? If I haven't done this in a while it can take quite some time, there has to be a faster way. Any help here?

I'm having this issue with my Versa - I've cleared all notifications multiple times, but three still show.  How can I get those removed?

I discovered that if I reboot Fitbit and resync w my cell and then done
turn my cell off.. the notifications work properly. But the first time I
turn off cell, I will have to reboot (go to setting on Fitbit, scroll all
the way down, click on reset to factory settings). This takes at least 30
mins - if internet slow it takes much longer.
So upset with this company. They know this is a people and they are
totally blowing people off.

Won't work for the old messages. The only people who can do that are FitBit when they tidy up. It would be very easy to do, in IT terms, but for reasons best known to themselves they have refused to do it despite all the complaints on this thread... Very strange...

I had a flex and now I have an alta HR.  I removed the flex from my phone but the notifications from January - March (not sure if it is 2017 or 2018)  are still showing.  The green box with the 3 dots to the left is faded out, there is no clear button, no "x" and the only response if you press and hold is the ability to copy, look up or share.  I would like to delete the notifications from my old Flex and start fresh.  I've logged out of the fitbit app on my iPhone and that has not helped either.  I just added my Alta HR to the device 3-4 weeks ago.  How do I clear out the old notifications so I can be current?

Best Answer

You don't. The problem is at fitbit's end, only fitbit can clear the notices, and fitbit has made it abundantly clear that they have absolutely no intention of fixing their problem. You'll just have to live with it until you're sufficiently frustrated that you'll throw yours away and take you chances with another brand of fitness monitor.

Correct.. It is unbelievable..

I have a flex 2 and the same problem It seems that there is a lot of us with this problem is this a Fitbit fault? It’s very frustrating and very time consuming trying to sort it

After much back-and-forth in which they recommended various steps **you** should take to fix **your** problem they eventually admitted that all along they were sending you on wild goose chases, they know that it is in fact **their** problem, they will not send anybody any new notifications, nor will they bother themselves to make anybody's old notifications go away.

It absolutely is Fitbit software issue.

The most worrying thing is, having worked in IT for 30 years, it is an absolute doddle to fix.. Very, very strange..?

Of course it's trivial to fix! My theory is they outsourced coding whatever is now running on their server to a third party company that has gone belly up: either fitbit doesn't have the source code, or they have it but they don't understand it, or they don't have their own staff programmers who they trust to fix, compile, test, and install it.

Can't fault your logic.. 🙂

Tried that, doesn't work.. They just get re-synced.. Pain in the arse to do, all for nothing..

I see that now. I don't see the red ball anymore. If you figure it out let me know.

As has been said many times in this thread only the Fitbit IT team can do it, and they are either too blindingly stupid, or just plain unhelpful, to sort it out... Very disappointing...

Best Answer

Yea...this seems like a major miss from the Fitbit app/dev team. Why on earth would anyone think that having messages and the red blurb notification signal there PERMANENTLY  is the route to take?!

how do I clear a calendar event and a message notification that won't go away. I have tapped clear all and it won't and I have swiped right and they keep coming back....I no longer see the message "all caught up". Please help this granny! Tnx y'all

It’s not your fault: the application is defective at the Fitbit end, and
they’ve informed us that they do not intend to fix it. You’ll just have to
live with it as-is.

This is smells like fraud. They are continuing to sell a product, claiming
it does things they know it does not.
