I've noticed that when I wake up in the morning, I've accumulated about 71 steps just sleeping.
I would like to reset it to zero as I start the day.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Hi
It's possible to remove the steps from your account,
Feel free to check out the fitbit article:

This doesn't work.
I woke up with1500 steps (I think icon device is confused due to international travel). 600 of those steps happened arou d 7:30am in Bed
I went through the process described in the article. I was forced to add steps. Only positive value. The smallest amount was 0.1 miles steps.
All it did, add those 0.1 miles to the 1500 steps I already had, making it worse

This same exact thing happened to me, I just woke up w/ 1500 steps, and I don't know how to fix it.

I wake up with over 200 steps. How do I delete and go back to zero?

200-300 steps is my normal sleep activity including bathroom breaks.
I ignore them because over a day, especially at home, or using a shopping trolley we lose steps..
It doesn't cover what we lose, but stops you worrying about it..

Since you move during your sleep, it'll naturally register some steps. This will also occur if you a number of things with your hands (like cooking).
If your step goal is 10k steps, 200 steps is only 2% of that goal. I'd just let them be.
I hope this helps.

Welcome to the community!
I can think of two possibilities...
First, whatever surface you put your tracker on, has some vibration that registers steps. It happens. People have reported steps registering when near a fan.
Second, did you happen to plug the tracker in after midnight? If so this may reflect the steps you took after midnight and before you plugged it in.
You can also look at your step graph on your activity page to figure out when those steps registered.
I hope this helps.
