How to replace Fitbit Ionic bands

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I currently have a Fitbit Blaze.  One of the aspects that encourages me to keep it is as follows: The blaze incorporates an easy switch out of bands.  I have experienced the frustrations of other Fitbit products I have used over the years.  When the band wears out, you have to replace the whole product.  The Blaze is the first Fitbit I have owned that allows easy replacement of the band.

While I like the features of the Ionic, the band does not appear to be replaceable.  If I am correct? If so, that would be a non-starter for me to switch.  What have your experiences been with band replacements for the Ionic?

I have both the Blaze and Ionic and can confirm that band on the ionic is easily replaceable. Here are the instructions:

  1. Turn Ionic over and find the band latches—there’s one on each end where the band meets the frame.
  2. To release the latch, press down on the flat metal button on the strap.

  3. Gently pull the band away from the watch to release it.

  4. Repeat on the other side. If you have trouble removing the band or if it feels stuck, gently move the band back and forth to release it.
  5. To attach a wristband, press it into the end of the watch until you feel it snap into place. The band with the clasp attaches to the top of the watch.

super easy to get on and off and there are heaps of third-party, low cost bands available in a wide variety of styles from sporty to dressy. And I'm loving the buckle and post fastening style (like a traditional watch strap) as I no longer accidentally pull it off doing mundane things like tucking my shirt into my pants (Alta, I'm looking at you!).
