Hi,

Is it possible for Development team to add Ionic Compatibility with huawei p9 model in to list of compatible models.

It will be very helpful to have more compatible devices in the list.

Thank you

@SRD2018 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for sharing your ideas as to what would you like to see in Fitbit's future. What kind of mobile device did you use to set up your Ionic?

I have an unsupported device (Moto G4) and I wasn't expecting for it to work with the Ionic. However, I tried the set up process and it worked! I can sync it and use most of its features. I have seen this with other unsupported devices as well, so there is a small chance that if you try the set up process with your Huawei P9 it may work. Please check these set up steps and try it out.

Also, you might like to try these set up troubleshooting steps as a last resort.

Keep me posted! Woman Happy

I have Huawei Mate 9 and used it to setup my fitbit ionic  It worked fine for 2 weeks. It synced, sent notifications etc. Then about a week ago it just stopped. To get it to sync now I have to waste 30 mins daily troubleshooting it. Am getting fed up. Really wish that fitbit engineering would step up and fixfthe issues and add more devices at a faster pace than they are

@dmfan16 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for trying the troubleshooting. I was checking the list of supported devices and the one you are using is note listed there. However, it may still work.  What troubleshooting steps are you trying? Feel free to try the steps listed on this article about syncing.

Also, are you still receiving notifications okay? What about the other features?

Thanks for sharing your feedback regarding that phone model here, it is very helpful. Something you can try to get this to sync faster for the moment is syncing with a computer. That should make this process faster.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Hi,

Appreciate your response.

Yes, the link you sent me is what I was following that takes me forever to force a sync on my phone (mobile device). I was in contact with customer support and at the end I was basically told that my mobile device is not on supported list and they'd take my suggestions but to also post here.

As of yesterday I started the sync on the  PC..,...BUT, I really do not want to be forced to go that route and lose features that I purchased the ionic to provide. I want fitbit to support more mobile devices, mine included. I currently no longer receive notifications as it is not syncing via my mobile device, so I'm quite unhappy with the ionic right now.

I agree with you you, I have the same problems!

Anoing to have a product that's not working with my phone!

It did not have a disclaimer on it saying, not suitable for all android devices!

Hi JKH68,

I've actually been having better luck with my notifications since the last few fitbit app updates. I get them most of the time now 🙂 In the fitbit app I have all day sync enabled and always connected enabled. Under the phone settings - > apps & notifications - > Apps - > Fitbit - >Battery.. For launch option, I have manage manually and I enabled all options under that. I think if it's left to auto, Huawei tries to shut it down to conserve battery power and we lose notifications. Good luck!
