I've had my fitbit Ionic for almost 2 weeks. Have had to charge it twice.
Everytime I charge it I get over 6,000 steps and it puts me way over my goal. As much as I wish these were legit, they're not and I cannot delete them.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Is the Fitbit is near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.
You can enter a driving record to get rid of them

Hi Wendy,
I did try to add the driving record but it wouldn't let me fix the issue for some reason?
I have it up on a ledge that isn't near a fan but there is one in the room, as well as a humidifier

@Sjc104 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting this strange situation that is happening while charging Ionic.
Are you still experiencing the same?
As @WendyB said, if there is anything that may have been buzzing or vibrating on the same surface that Ionic was placed on, it may count steps while charging. Try charging it on a different surface.
Please perform a couple of restarts on your Ionic and check if the same thing keeps happening. If it keeps happening please let me know and I will help you to get in touch with customer support for further assistance.
Also, please check this thread which is about the same topic you might find useful.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!
