Fitbit Update 08/23/2018: Hi everyone!
Just wanted to thank you all for your participation in this thread.
Since the majority of Ionic users have successfully updated to OS 2.1.1 (v32.10.20) I have decided to close this topic to further posts.
If you still have not updated your Ionic to OS 2.1.1, check out this post for some best practices on how to update your device.
If you are experiencing an issue with your Ionic unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the community or find a related topic.
Thanks again to all the great feedback we have received on this firmware. Looking forward to the next Fitbit OS update!
Fitbit Update - 6/7/18: Fitbit OS 2.1.1 has been released to 100% of Ionic users!
Hi, everyone!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1.1! (Firmware Version: 32.10.20)
We've started to roll out this update to 30% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
You can find the release notes for this new OS version by following the link, here.
Step by step instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
As a reminder, I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in this thread.

Now mine does not work correctly in that the hours I do 250 steps show I did them on ionic but the app does not show one hour I know I did. This has happened twice now since the update. And I see this is an issue since 2016. I have update, signed out and turned off phone and back on and resigned in. Still doesn't work. How can I get this to work so I get my hours?

Happy to report that the exercise custom stats are still sticking since the update. Unfortunately, the automatic laps (exercise cues) are still reverting back to .5 miles after syncing. Before, the workaround was to set on the Fitbit dashboard but even that doesn't work now. Strangely, the Fitbit Android app exercise cues are sticking but not on the watch or the Fitbit dashboard. Hope this helps.

That's bad!
Correction! Now I got it!
Now I hope the problem with sleep stages is also solved.

App said there was an update. Ionic apprently finished it while the phone app was stuck on 1/3 mark. Ionic about section shows 32.10.20 but the watch doesn't have any changes that was shown just before on the update page of the phone app. The swipe up and down spees the same options as before. Any advice?

There were no user facing changes so if you were on Firmware 32.10.15 you already have that stuff.

Hi.
I was surprised that I got the update today!
Update was done in 45 minutes as in the past.
Currently I see only the the Ionic shows more like Charge 2 heart rate, I mean more "realistic " heart rate!
Not to high.
Concerning battery, we will see in the next days.
Update to .15 I have to load every 3-4 days. And I used GPS for 30 minutes per day. Got a lot of notification every day from Essential PIM, GMX, GMAIL, SMS.
Unfortunately we don't really know what is now fixed......
Not a good strategy!
Let's see if I have tomorrow sleep stages! I would say: no!
But I hope!

Hi you don't seem to understand. The firmware update available page on the app showed changes for the swipe action but that is not visible.

Do you want to reread my statement? I understand more than you do. There are no user facing changes, every thing you see there was implemeted in .15.

I'm updating at the moment, both phone and
Ionic charging at the same time, so hopefully no issues. Last update went well, watch seems to be behaving itself apart for one random re-boot which has only happened once before last January, so fingers crossed nothing get's broken with this update.

Mine went well and even calibrated without an issue. That is a first!

Fitbit App and Apple IOS 12 0
Updated Fitbit fine, but ‘my apps’ section is blank and all apps just gives spinning icon.
I have tried logging out, then logging in but still the same.

The home page of the app showed update available this morning. I don't know which firmware I was on. It is bor on .20. in the"what's new section" there was three options for the left buttons including Fitbit pay. Swipe up had a different interface then what I see. However the left button only turns the screen on or off and the swipe up doesn't look any different then what I already had. I am confused as to what was update all about.

That's what I keep saying, nothing is different that you can see. It's fixes for crashing and other bugs and backend. The screen you saw was for the .15 update to Fitbit OS 2.1, this is 2.1.1 or firmware .20 and nothing changed. If there are missing features that's a different topic.
