Ionic + Flex 2

Hello, I am a current Ionic user and have just purchased the Flex 2.

I was wondering, apart from the initial setup, is there anything else to do to make sure that the app tracks and combines activity from both watches?

I will be wearing the Ionic most of the time and will use the Flex 2 while exercising.

When I am switching between the watches, is there anything specific that needs to be done in the app so it detects that I am wearing the Ionic vs the Flex 2 or visa versa?

Thank you!

I have an Ionic and a Blaze. I found that the Ionic works better when it's your only tracker. When I had the Ionic and Blaze on my account it seemed like it caused problems. An example is I'd wake up with thousands of steps that I actually didn't take. Sometimes it seemed like charging it caused that too. I also had sync issues I no longer have now that I took off my Blaze and just use the Ionic.

I bought a screen protector and a case for the body of the Ionic so I don't really need to worry about scratching it and have no reason to use the Blaze anymore.

I'm just saying in my experience having the Ionic it's the only tracker I use and it works better for it. Maybe it'll be different for you.

I agree with @winb83  Yes, theoretically you can have both on the one account, but at least for the moment, the Ionic works much better as a sole tracker (syncing in particular for me). I have my other trackers on a separate account for now (which means you dont get combined totals but you do have a record of what you have done)

In theory if you have two trackers on the one accpount, sync both before you swap, making sure the tracker you are about to put on syncs LAST. When you change back repeat the process. The account should seamlessly add your steps from the tracker you are wearing. Give it a go, but if you have problems set up a separate account for the Ionic.

I currently have 3 Fitbit trackers on my account - the Ionic, Charge 2, and Charge HR - and they all play well together.  Which one I wear depends on what I am doing, or where I am going.  For yard work, for example, I wear the Charge HR - so I sync the Ionic that I'm wearing, take it off, put the Charge HR on, and sync the Charge HR.  Then, when ready to return to the Ionic, I sync the Charge HR, take it off and put the Ionic on, and sync the Ionic.  This works well for me. There are always a few steps lost in the syncing process, but not enough to ruin my day.

I have an Ionic, Charge 2 and Flex 2 and as along as I sync before switching devices, I don't have any issues.
