Ionic Not Showing Text Messages on IOS

Just got my Ionic. I’m using iOS 11.2.1. It will send me calendar and phone call notifications but I can’t get it to show text message notifications. I have tried everything! Turn Bluetooth on and off, sign out of the app and log back in, delete the app and download it again, told the app to forget the ionic and then re-paired it. I have checked and the ionic and my iPhone are allowing notifications, hence me getting calendar and phone call notifications. I’m getting pretty annoyed. Is there a fix?

Had this issue since Christmas morning and it drove me nuts. You have to go into notification, messages, and enable History (as well as all the other toggles). As soon as I did that, my last message immediately came into into my Ionic......go figure.

This totally worked for me too!  I was trying all the suggestions on the main site & nothing was working, then tried this & boom. I turned off banners & lock screen alerts, sticking to just "show in history" & it did the trick.

Still can't work out how to get emails to show up though, I tried the same "show in history" but to no avail.
