Ionic Sync

My Ionic syncs with my phone for the data, IE steps, heart rate etc. and it shows that it is connected via Bluetooth.  I do not currently receive messages on my Ionic.  When I go to the notification tab on my phone I get the death spiral and it says Bluetooth pairing failed.  I have reloaded the App, restarted the Ionic and completed a factory reset.

All I can say is it should work which isnt that much help to you! I know nothing about iPhones. Hopefully someone will come alon who does.
