Ionic adding steps when on charge?

I had my ionic on charge for 30 mins this morning and it added 9000 steps??

 

this happened a couple of weeks ago also.

 

anyone know how to stop this happening please?

@Salvic76  I moved your thread to the Ionic forum.  You seem to have a device problem, not an app problem.  You have a better chance of getting help here.

I had the same Issue!
It added about 11,000 steps while charging one time.

 

*Additional Information on this.

The Ionic was being charged in the same place I usually leave it.

I got it from Christmas and this is the first and only time this has happened to me.

Same issue. Sitting in charger on my desk added 10k steps. Did 8 restarts trying to calibrate like some other threads mentioned. Put it on and it has logged 1500 steps while sitting at my desk.
