Is no one else having issues with the band that comes with the ionic. I like the device, I hate the band. It comes with large band attached, and that is what I used day one. Day 2, switched to small band which is what I should have. The band has detached from the face 7 time in 4 waking hours and once while wearing to bed. Finally had to use one side of large band and one of small to keep the small part from detaching. Plus, have very sore finger from having to jam the end piece in multiple times. Who thought this was a good band design? There is no way the two interlocking pieces of the band will ever come apart, but they will sure detach from the face.

I have had the same issue. I think that the small band on a small wrist does not work properly and is prone to popping off. I have now lost two Ionics this way since I like to cycle in groups at high speeds and am not constantly looking at my wrist.

Best AnswerYes, I think that it is time to switch to the Apple watch. Oh well. I have enjoyed my Fitbit Surge and my Fitbit Ionic but with problematic band issues that are not being properly addressed and poor Customer Service, it is time to move on to another company.
Best AnswerThank you so much, I was about to return the watch because the band kept detaching from the electronic part, the wiggling until it clicks worked like a charm 🙂
Best AnswerHi all,
I've had this same issue with multiple bands and was just about to give up on this product, but then noticed that the fit has to be extremely tight in order for the interchangeable bands to work. I happened to have a can of compressed air (to clean out my dirty keyboard) and sprayed out all of the excess particles (i.e. accumulated dirt, grime, plastic parts etc.) out of the grooves on the watch and haven't had any issues with bands since.
I don't know if this is the solution for all of the bands, but this worked for me and may be worth a try.

Best AnswerThanks so much. I just got mine today and had the same problem. I was about to flip. After the drama my Surge took me through..... Ugghhh!

Hello @sonjavan, it's good to see you around in the forums. Could you please provide more details about what you've been experiencing with your Ionic band, or what exactly have you been seeing when it pops out?
Please confirm if you've also tried some of the steps mentioned in this thread previously to clean the area where the wristband snaps in place with the pebble/screen. This has been useful to other users as well.
Please keep me posted.

Thank you for providing all this feedback about your experience with Ionic @ABORh, I'm sorry to see that you had to stop using your Fitbit due to these inconveniences. I hope it's possible for you to return to the Fitbit family in the future.
Best Answerhi carlos- i followed the video and all the different suggestions and got my band in to work for a couple months- it needed to be replaced and when i went to remove it, one of the end pieces that snaps in, remained stuck in the versa metal, where it connects- i can’t get it out at all- so i can’t use my fitbit! i’ve tried everything to get it out!
Best AnswerI was having my band pop loose, in fact I lost a Fitbit device by this happening and I didn't notice. I think by pressing the band until a click is heard may solve the problem, I sure hope so because my next option will be to permanently glut the band on the watch with Super Glue or Epoxy.

Hello @Aguess23, it's good to see you around in the forums, welcome.
Thank you for your inquiry, could you please confirm if you're referring to the steps @Steevrunner shared here earlier? I understand they were explaining how to clear the area were the band meets the tracker (to remove any dirt accumulated).
You can also find more information about how to clean the band in the Wear & Care guide.
Let us know how it goes.
Best AnswerI’m wondering whether this is a machining defect in the watch where the bands attach in some units. I’m on my second Ionic and can’t get the accessory leather or sport non-clasp side of the bands to click, though the original band works fine. I’ve tried 2 sets of both the sport and the leather. Didn’t have this issue on the defective Ionic that I just replaced.

Hello @JackLaverty, and welcome to the Community forums.
I'm sorry to see you've having trouble to attach your leather and sport bands. Before considering other options, could you please confirm if you've tried the steps mentioned here earlier to clear the area were the band meets the tracker (to remove any dirt accumulated)? Or following the suggestions in the Wear & Care guide.
These could be helpful, since you mentioned the Classic band is able to attach without any problem.
Please keep me posted.
Best AnswerThanks, Davide. Brand new watch and brand new bands. Only the band that it comes with is easy to install. The others only work when I reverse them on the watch (odd). I also also tried a previous version of the sport and leather bands from the watch I just replaced first. They did not work, either. That is why I ordered new bands, thinking that the male watch band and female watch attachment areas had a design change. Frustrating, to say the least.
