Ionic battery not charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My battery got to 3%, so I put it on the charger. It's been on there for about 2 hours and the display is black. Nothing comes up and my phone can't find it to link. I don't know if there's something I can do to reset it or if it's broken.

Try a Restart and do it several times if necessary.

Fitbit Ionic does not charge. It was fine and used it this morning. All of a sudden it stopped. I went to charge it and nothing happens. I press and hold the the right and bottom left buttons. It flashes the battery but does not go to the Fitbit logo screen. I tried several times and tried charging overnight with no success. This morning I again held the right and bottom left buttons. Flashes the battery not charged and no Fitbit logo.

Hi @JP-Walker, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums!

I'm sorry to know that you're experiencing difficulties with your Ionic but thanks for taking into consideration the troubleshooting steps that were shared on my previous post. Since you're still experiencing issues with your device, please follow the next steps to perform a factory reset and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.
