Any idea how I can get my ionic to send push notifications for low battery? My Charge 2 does it but can’t see on Ionic app or the phone itself. Notifications are on but that’s messages from phone.

Hey there @Otherdawnfrench, thanks for stopping by! If you want to check on the battery percentage for Fitbit Ionic, scroll left to right from the main screen and it should be top left of your screen, shown as a percentage.
On Charge 2, the option was on Account > Charge 2 > Menu Items, but Ionic has it included without having you to enable it on the app or web-based dashboard.
On the other hand, you can choose to receive certain Fitbit notifications directly on your phone or by email. Notifications include low battery warnings, step goal milestones, new badges, friend requests, messages from friends, challenge invitations, and more—including a weekly summary of your Fitbit stats and periodic updates about Fitbit products.
Hope this helps, I'll be around if you need further assistance!

I have my notification for low battery set to go to my phone but it never sends it. Then I suddenly find myself with a fitbit that needs to be charged. I do not remember ever giving my phone number for the setup so how does it know where to send? Also, I have a Samsung phone not iPhone. Does it have to be an iPhone? Need help

Welcome here @fanninhb! What I've suggested here does apply for you too my friend. Have you tried that?
In regards to the phone number, Fitbit doesn't ask for this information. As I've mentioned, you can get your notifications by email or phone, when they're set to be sent to your phone, this means that you get the notifications on the Fitbit app not by text message.
Thanks for stopping by @rhgood! Have you also tried my suggestions? If so, I'd recommend restarting your Ionic by following these steps and reset the notifications sent to your email/phone by disable them, sync right away and then, enable them again.
Give this a go and let me know how it goes my friend!

The Ionic can only buzz, as it doesn't have a speaker to beep. 🙂

The buzz is quite strong and effective. I use hearing aids so a bleeping
device is no real use to me.

Hi Maria-
I just followed the three steps you suggested and imagine my surprise that both boxes are checked to receive notifications. I have only received one-an email on January 15th and it was after the fact-my Ionic was already out. This also happened February 1st and today (both times after I used it at Starbucks-hmmm related?). Please, please help me get notifications because I am getting frustrated... and I'm losing count of a lot of steps! 🙂
Thanks!

Still not as good as the others devices; there is no push notification to
the device or to my phone. Have to rely on looking on the screen and
depending which screen you have the battery icon can be very small.

Hi there,
I never got a reply here so I went to Twitter and had a conversation with Fitbit Support. He/She had me charge my Ionic to 100% and turn off most everything (sleep cycles, heart rate, notifications) to see how long the battery would last. Sure enough, lasted almost 5 days. (But certainly not as fun to wear 🙂 )
What I learned is that I need to get in the habit of charging mine more often because the notification process is sub-par for "low battery." I caught it at 5% Monday morning...
Charge it, charge it, charge it! Good luck!

As of Jan/19/2019, the way to check battery is by turning the phone on, and swiping from the bottom to the top. It displays "Today", and then shows you how many steps, etc... plus how much battery remaining you have.

Most of the battery is drained when waking the clock with a twist of the wrist. Almost at every flick of the wrist, the watch wakes up and so can be awake all day, and from there, the battery is gone. That's how he earns four and a half days with the wrist off six days.
