Ionic connection problems

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Starting two days ago, my Ionic stopped connecting regularly with my iPhone.  I followed a recommendation that was posted in the fall about disconnecting the device from phone's bluetooth and then disconnecting the device from the Fitbit app.  I've tried for a day to get the new set up finished.  I just sits on the screen that it "Found it!" and then at the bottom of the screen says "Connecting to Tracker..." It will do this for HOURS.  Any others having problems?  My husband is in exactly the same boat as I am so at least two people are having issues.  Is there a hard reboot of the device that can be performed?  Please help, we are loyal Fitbit users, but I'm about ready to throw this thing out and get an Apple Watch.

@DebBearcat Welcome to the Fitbit family! Are you still experiencing this?

Yes, you can perform a restart on your Ionic that should help you out with this.

Another thing you can do is trying the set up troubleshooting steps on this helpful article. This is also helpful.

Once you try this your Ionic should connect properly.

Try that out with your husband as well and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

We had the same problem. I deleted the ironic off the app and restarted it to install again and it worked. So glad it was getting  frustrating!! Love our ironica’s since we swim so much. Hope this totally fixes the problem

Yes I have had the same issue and will try a hard restart. Shame about the data I will now lose but such is life. I love Fitbit like you do, but OMG they are so temperamental. Though at least the ionic hasn’t fallen apart yet. I managed to go through 6 of my last ones, breaking one at a time!
