Ionic counting steps when not moving

Hi there, 

My ionic all of a sudden this afternoon started counting double steps, and i wasn't walking. It has not stopped, after numurous restarts. It seems to stop when it's put on charge or away from my wrist. The heart rate monitor also stopped working.... Won't pick up my heart, but steps won't stop. Please help!
