My beloved ionic died. It was working just fine, then sometime in the early hours of September 10, it shut down, never to log another step again. I had a Fitbit ZIP since 2014. After that had served me faithfully for three years, it died in 2017, I made the leap and invested in an Ionic. Just shy of two years and the Ionic turned off in the night. It won't respond to charging or attempting to factory reset. RIP

Mine died last night.... I tried charging it, factory restart and all the things I have found online.... nothing.... completely dead! Was working perfectly fine yesterday. Per my sync log, it was completely synced and charged this morning at 7am, at 9am I picked it up from the charger and NOTHING! So frustrated! Had it for less than 2 years!

Mine too, when they did the latest update it died. I bet you a lot of the dead fit bits are really just bricked by poor software development processes. It was working fine otherwise. Did all the reboot and charging tricks online. Even iPhones last longer than this. 😉

Sounds like my tale of woe. Died last night about 1pm and nothing works, Bluetooth to the cell phone has no contact, resetting with the two bottom buttons did nothing.😩. At this point would not even make a good paperweight.

Hey, I thought it was just with me. My Ionic worked fine for 18 months. Everything was ok, battery lasting 5 days.
Yesterday, I charged until 100%. One hour later, it died to never turn on again. So frustrating!
I paid $ 299 for an item that lasts just 18 months!

The exact same thing happened to me. Of course the only recourse is to get a discount to buy another device that won't last. That's it for me, I'm out. No more fitbits for me.

Same, can’t afford to throw away an expensive watch ever year and a half.

At least Fitbit is replacing my Ionic, I wonder if it comes with a new one year warranty.

Mine was working just fine this morning! NOW, completely dead. Have followed all protocols found on Forums to reset but nothing is working! So frustrating. I have used various FitBits since 2014. But considering something else if I cannot get remedied today!

Mine died while on the charger two days ago. Confirmed the charger is fine with my partner's Ionic.

Did live chat with support. We went through simple troubleshooting steps. Didn't work. She sent me an email with an offer. Free replacement or 50% off any device. Going for the free replacement. I love this watch so much. Bravo, Fitbit! A++ service.

Guess yours was still under warranty? Mine was outside of warranty so no replacement.

Sorry to be the bearer of bands news but it doesn't reset the warranty. I have been using fitbits for many years and have had tech troubles often. This is it for me. I won't replace again. Good luck, hope your new one lasts a long time.

Garmin if the new one dies. Strange they did not ask for the broken one
back, I would think they would do an analysis to determine what the
problem is.
