My beloved ionic died. It was working just fine, then sometime in the early hours of September 10, it shut down, never to log another step again. I had a Fitbit ZIP since 2014. After that had served me faithfully for three years, it died in 2017, I made the leap and invested in an Ionic. Just shy of two years and the Ionic turned off in the night. It won't respond to charging or attempting to factory reset. RIP

Same here. 2 ionics failed in less than a year each. The best they can do is a 25% discount. Everyone in the world could get a 25% discount on Black Friday. So what’s so great about a discount that was available to everyone. Fitbit doesn’t care about its customers. They just want your money.

Nope. The warranty is from the date of the original purchase.

My replacement is working well and I'm pleased. My first one died when I ran the update. So I have refused the offer to update on the new one. What am I missing in the update? If I say yes to the update, and it dies, have I no recourse since this is a replacement?

almost a year and I complained and got a replacement which lasted less than
3 months or so. I have NO CONFIDENCE in Fitbit. What a disappointment!
Good luck with yours!

to many similar reports left me weary. (BTW, there was no software update
performed on the first failed unit as I recall.) The rebate on a 3rd unit
didn't appease me enough to purchase another unit. I liked the product and
hope Google can turn around any hardware issues. I remain very disappointed
with the company. Good luck with your Fitbit.
