Why has Fitbit introduced an update that renders their product unworkable. I have just updated my Ionic and the display is so dim you can’t read it without going into a dark room. I have tried adjusting the brightness but does not help. I have loved the Ionic but they always fail after about 8 months. Jumping to Apple i-Watch, can’t be any worse.

@Richwade22 Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
I appreciate that you've checked your watch settings. I see where your disappointment is coming from.
I'd like you to double check that Sleep Mode is turned off in quick settings, this could be the reason why the screen brightness is set to dim. (Search for the moon icon)
Check out this article for additional information How do I navigate my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps.
