Since I did the software update yesterday something funny is happening with my BPM readings. I have a blood pressure monitor and it shows way different numbers then the watch does. I even manually did my bp and it was fine. For some reason it will suddenly jump to 150-160BPM which I got concerned about and checked using my Blood Pressure monitor and it was only 76 but the watch reads over 150. Then suddenly it would drop down to the correct BPM. Is there something wrong with the update? Please advise. Thanks

Hi Fitbit!
Anyways, Ionic has some advantages I like so I have kept the faith that Fitbit would improve it hoping they actually take customers feedback serious and do som work on the different exercise algorithms and heart rate, which is still way off! Doing a side by side comparing with others similar brands (wearing a puls belt) Fitbit Ionic is ridiculous wrong. Take the exercise "Hike" for example. Hiking is for most people around the planet; waking on trails or paths in various mountains. Using Hike on Ionic, Versa 2 or 3 is more or less a joke showing more than 70% inaccuracy of the heart rate. If we use the exercise "Workout" while actually doing Hiking, it seems spot on. Could Fitbit please change the heart rate algorithms on Hike (or simply get rid of it) or make it the same as the Workout exercise but with GPS tracking? That would make our hiking trips far more interesting! Not just for us, but for everyone that loves doing outdoor exercise! And Fitbit, please listen to customers and do something. By the way, You still haven't change the music function we have been asking about for over 3 years (being able to play music after starting an exercise session) That's sad too!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. Heart-rate tracking can be affected by several factors including air temperature and device location on your arm. For more information about this, please check our help articles:
However, if your heart-rate tracker seems inaccurate after taking the recommendations into account, please reply with answers to the following questions so I can further investigate:
