No they tried, they put me on the list to receive the update, worked for couple weeks, I said I was going to send watch back, but as I got it from the airport I couldn’t return it to Fitbit I had to go back to airport, which isn’t going to happen as was in duty free, I don’t have the slip so I’m pretty screwed, had watch for 3 months, paid extra to have the gps on watch rather than relying on phone, waste of money not happy

Any idea on this resolution. I can get emails and other notifications but texts which are most Important for me And one of the reasons I bought this product are still

not working.

Best Answer

@yessica82 the problem is not with your ionic but with the phone.

Not knowing what type of phone we are not able to help much.

Do you have show preview enabled?

The notification volume is not turned off.

Can you get notifications on your phone's lock screen?

There is documentation on Fitbit help.

I have the android fix I think. It worked for me..

Settings>notifications>

Turn off "suggest actions and replies" and

Turn off "show snooze option"

I'm using the Samsung S10e

Hopefully this helps

i am still having the issue as well. All I get are incoming phone calls. Apple is notorious for not sharing code with companies (i have an iphone 8). This is really frustrating, as receiving texts was a big part of selecting this watch.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I am having the exact same problem!

I didn’t and I’m so frustrated. No luck and I’ve heard nothing from Fitbit. Extremely disappointed and thinking of switching to Garmin.

I agree. I’ve done everything they’ve told me and no luck. I have an iPhone XR.

That does not work on my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10. What kind do you have?

Darn it! If it wasn't so expensive, I would switch to a Samsung watch. My
husband loves his, but I just paid a pretty penny not long ago for this
fitbit one and don't want to chuck it yet. grr

I have not found any kind of resolution. I have searched high and low. I have spoken to Fitbit representatives, and “experts” online, but to no avail. It appears to be an issue with Fitbit that they cannot solve. I wish they would fix it because I have a $200 watch. I am no Rockefeller, and can not afford to buy another one, regardless of name brand.

I bought an IWatch 5. Awesome, tracks steps, calories, heart rate more
accurately and has so much more capabilities the then the Ionic (too many
to list) No brainer. I have given up on Fitbit!!

That's exactly how I feel! I spent way too much money to NOT get my money's
worth. I appreciate you doing the research and saving me the time. It does
really suck, though. I think I'm done with the FitBit brand.

I agree. I’m done with Fitbit as well.

I was having the same issue and I have an iPhone. Just as I was thinking about getting an Apple Watch I went to Notifications and clicked the Notifications Center button under Alerts section. And Wala like magic all my notifications are coming to my Fitbit.

Really hope this helps you all.

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure what you described is an iPhone solution, not
android because I don't have an alerts section or a notification center.
Darn it.

It's all a bit random, i have an iPhone and I sometimes do and sometimes don't get notifications, yesterday i got them and today I don't, it's totally unreliable and disappointing that Fitbit can't provide a product that works consistently
