My Ionic has been working just fine for the last few months until yesterday. I noticed that the time was a few minutes off, then progressively got worse. I synced my Fitbit, and the time caught up. Today, it was off again, and wouldn't sync. I was able to fix it, but now it's off again. I'm noticing that the WiFi on my Fitbit says that it's off. How do I stop that from happening?
Here's what I've done:
1. Restarted my Fitbit.
2. Restarted my app.
3. Checked my home WiFi settings. (They haven't changed...ever.)
4. Made sure bluetooth was off on other devices.
5. Forgotten the Ionic on my bluetooth menus.
6. Factory reset my Fitbit. (took almost 3 hours to finally get it to hook up) Thought this fixed it...but it didn't.
7. Deleted and reinstalled app.
Any other tricks, or should I give up on my Ionic and switch to Samsung?

Unfortunately mine didn’t. I believe this is something to do with the level of battery charge and how the app picks up on the watches. Mine now seem to work if the battery is almost fully charged and then fail to connect when it reduces - I haven’t get identified the critical battery level.
I think this may be battery related. I have found that both my ionic and charge 2 will connect and sync when the battery charge level is high but seem to have a problem connecting and syncing when the battery charge level drops. I also suspect, but haven’t proved it yet, that the charge 2 will connect at a lower battery charge than the ionic -perhaps because it is a simpler piece of kit. The charge 2 is currently connecting and syncing at 75% battery. I am monitoring both battery levels today to see at what level they stop connecting and syncing. Just out of interest what phone do you have? I have an iPhone 6s running iOS 12.3.1.

Mine was totally about the wifi. It happened the day we left for a trip and
I went off the wifi. Unfortunately it took a factory reset to get it back.
We also got a new router in the middle if this. The app wouldn't search for
available wifi connections until I did the reboot.

I'm also losing time on my Ionic since the 29th June. Im having to reset it every morning and then its out by about 90 minutes by the end of the day. Wondering why I bother wearing it now as I keep having to check my phone to see what the correct time is.

I guess the support person that was helping in this thread gave up?

Since a few days I have the same problem; apparently just like many other users.
The problem arose when nothing was changed to any configuration.
I suppose the problem lies in a recent firmware update, which contains a bug. (Therefore, resetting to factory settings does not solve the problem, as the first thing the device does after this reset is to update to the corrupt firmware.)
It is up to FitBit to acknowledge this problem and fix the firmware!

Fitbit support has still yet to contact me about this. I'm pretty disappointed in this.
I let my battery die completely, then charged it fully. Right now, it's telling the correct time. I'm going to wear it for a while to see if it sticks. I haven't worn it in a week. If this doesn't fix it, and support doesn't contact me, I'm switching companies. I'll also make sure to spread awareness of this issue, and ward other people off from buying this watch.

I’ve still not been able to reconnect my Ionic to my iPad but also found it’s not compatible with my new phone plus my Fitbit account got hacked so not a happy bunny. Definitely reconsidering options. Good luck.

Update: My Ionic was fine last night, but then started losing time again. It also reset itself randomly around 1am. This morning, I figured I'd wear it just to log the steps. It stopped logging steps in the middle of a Zumba class, and the heart rate was stuck for an hour. I had to manually reset it.
I'm just trying to see if anyone has had this problem and has been able to fix it, or if this watch is a bust.

Hello guys, I hope you are doing fine.
I am sorry for the delay in respond and appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this time issue.
@Rawrbyn, @Ernie62, @Lizzie59, @SunsetRunner and @SueL999, if your watches are showing an incorrect time, I recommend making sure that they are syncing and verify that the devices you are using to sync have the correct time too. If the issue is directly with syncing, follow the instructions provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?.
Now about the WiFi, follow the steps in the article: Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi?.
@LydiaVDB, it's great to hear that this issue has been resolved after the factory reset. If there is anything else we can help you with, do not hesitate to post it.
I will see you around.

If you read this entire thread, you will see that another moderator suggested all of that, and we have done all of that. I have followed every single step in every single help article.
I'm reading, now that it could be the recent update that has done this?

Hi,
I am in the same boat except my fitbit is less than 6 months old: the FB itself is OK but, once I let it "update" last week, its not synching with my iphone (my Iphone cannot detect any bluetooth signal from it)
I even bought a replacement Ionic on the weekend but it went through the same update & now it will not work either...
I complained to Fitbit & it now looks like they have "black-listed" my phone number!!!
