Ionic not charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For a while now my Ionic hasn’t been able to switch on.

Ionics seem to have this issue a lot so I don’t think I’m the only one.

To date I have tried charging and rebooting but no luck.

Before this happened it was working fine.

I have no idea what to do next.

Tried everything I can think of.

A look through the forum didn’t help.

Really need help.

Every thought from you is appreciated.

Can you look and help?

Unless you are in the same boat...

Nevertheless please try.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely, Darren.

I've had a love-hate experience with my Ionic. I love the features, but the device suffers from poor engineering and durability. I'm on my third actual device. The first crapped out after about 10 month (bricked, like you describe here), and FitBit replaced it under warranty. The next one lasted a good bit longer, but FitBit does does not start the warranty when you boot up the device; they only warrantied the new device back to my original device purchase date. After moving up the support levels, I was finally offered a moderate discount on a new device, so I took another chance on the Ionic Adidas edition. This has done the best, but now after about 20 months, it's failing again. Last week, the battery started inexplicably draining (from 100% down to 0% in just a few hours). The 2nd time that happened, I got no response from attaching the charger or any combination of buttons on their troubleshoot page. I left it on charge for 2 days and it woke back up, but would only charge to 50% before giving the "not enough power" message. I factory reset, which seems to helped it get back to full charge (although still tossing those messages), but it cannot successfully complete a calibration, so I'm not getting any biometric recording. I hope they've addressed what feels like planned obsolescence in the Versa/Sense lines.

Thanks, but I can’t believe that no one has read the posts TOP to BOTTOM to see what I’m actually saying...  It’s not like i’ve written it in code or anything...  😉🤣
