Hi all,
I got a new Ionic to replace my Charge 2 and I am not getting any notifications to the watch. I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 edge and my notification bar on the phone says the notifications are running. I disabled the Charge 2 and have turned on my phone and Ionic along with doing all the other recommended steps. I am at a lose, my Charge 2 worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem. I am doing absolutely everything in every video and piece of instruction I can find. I rarely have any trouble whatsoever getting devices to work correctly.
I’m on the latest iOS build and had the same frustration about text messaging not coming thru. Tried different combination of fixes and finally got it to work by selecting “Persistent” in the Messaging Show Banner option.
! IMPORTANT! This solution does not work for my Android Pixel 2.This is a recurring issue, I've had this Ionic watch for less than a month and I've had to try to fix this 3 times by resetting the watch, and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. At this point, this extreme solution doesn't work anymore. Very disappointing Fitbit. I recommend looking into getting a refund if you are having this problem.
I find if I have the app running in the background notifications seem to come through... If I close the app (sometimes accidentally) nothing comes through. At all.
Best AnswerI have an IPhone and have the same issue, however occasionally a message will appear
seems the ionic is not stable.
This is not good for an expensive bit of equipment. Wish I bought an IWatch
I was having the same problem. All of the settings were correct. Bluetooth on..notifications on..etc. Nothing worked. Updated the fitbit app and now everything is working again.
UPDATE: Fitbit Support was so kind to tell me after 2 calls that my Pixel 2
is not compatible with ionic.
So there you have it!
UPDATE 4/18/2018: latest version update bricked the watch, will not sync. I'm in the dreaded "clock error" mode. Hay fitbit... Let me help you out.... If it does sync you can't then fix the clock error.
Much of the same issues here with Iphone 7S. After restarting phone, email and phone calls appear but no texts. Chose ionic over Apple watch that worked perfectly. Second guessing my choice now.
I've never had email notifications show up on my Ionic. TBH, I am glad. I get way too many spam emails. Are you sure you are not receiving text notifications? I mistakenly shut them (notifications) off on the watch itself. Once I rectified that, all was good.
