Hi all,
I got a new Ionic to replace my Charge 2 and I am not getting any notifications to the watch. I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 edge and my notification bar on the phone says the notifications are running. I disabled the Charge 2 and have turned on my phone and Ionic along with doing all the other recommended steps. I am at a lose, my Charge 2 worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue here. I’ve had the watch for about a week. Today notifications stopped working for no reason. All the settings are correct on the app and the watch. I’m on an iPhone X. What gives?
Not solved. Not close. Same problem as the previous posters. iP6. My first Ionic worked fine, but had only 24 hour battery life. This one has acceptable battery, but no notifications other than step alerts.
For those of you who have an Ionic with a Samsung Note 5 with Verizon as your carrier, replace the Verizon Message+ messaging app with the default Samsung app. I did and it solved my "Ionic not receiving text notifications" problem.
I also couldn't get notifications working once I got an iPhone X. The video did not help. However, deleting and re-installing the Fitbit app did get notifications working again!
CORRECTION: I realized that my notifications only work when the device is connected to WIFI. So this is still not solved.
Zorro, this video is evidently for an older Ionic as each step shown on the video does NOT match the the Ionic screens/steps i get after the first swipe which shows several icons, of which only the setup shows a notification step, which gives two choices which only deal with keeping notifications on or off during quiet hours. I purchased my Ionic in January 2018, which at that time, notifications worked fine, but in March 2018, In retrospect, stupidly let Fitbit upgrade my Ionic with the monster from hell firmware, which has greatly destabilized my already not all that stable to a much higher, and quite un-acceptable, level of instability. So much so that I now regret ever upgrading from my quite reliable, trusty ol Flex 2. It's obvious to me, and most of the others who own FIT stock, that Fitbit's product development group just isn't up to the task thier marketing people say they are. If ya don't believe me, just look at the plummet FIT stock is on.
Exactly the same problem. Horribly unstable notifications, on a pretty **ahem**ed expensive watch. The latest firmware update seems to have completely broken the already slightly wobbly notifications. For me at this point, the watch isn't fit for purpose. I've patiently waited for five months, and Fitbit just don't seem to be making any progress.

I was able to from the FitBit app select the device, Select Notifications, then select Text Messages, then select Message+. I can now receive the texts. I can send screen shots if necessary. I too have a Note 5 on Verizon

Best AnswerDid this and thought problem was solved but NO! Some come though and some dont. I have been waiting 7 Months now and nothing. Fitbit keeps telling me they are working on it but they need a better technical team. I have accepted that it will never work and I am angry but what can i do about it. This is my 5th and last Fitbit. What a shame as the fitness aspects are the best but dont sell functionality that does not work.
May 12 2018 there was a system update and now i dont receive texts but ny emails and facebook messages come through just fine..... highly upset
