Hi all,
I got a new Ionic to replace my Charge 2 and I am not getting any notifications to the watch. I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 edge and my notification bar on the phone says the notifications are running. I disabled the Charge 2 and have turned on my phone and Ionic along with doing all the other recommended steps. I am at a lose, my Charge 2 worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The iOS update just requires that you permit previously allowed devices to access Bluetooth again, and use your device location, and etc. However, the Ionic notification problem with iPhones is a known problem that Fitbit is aware of. Their support will have you check your configurations, in which afterwards, you will find that nothing changed. Fitbit has not released an official statement concerning this problem, and it does not look like they will. The quickest workaround is to reboot your iPhone. It will work awhile and then stop.

Best Answeri spent several hours with my Ionic not receiving notifications... im my phone is a samsung galaxy s8.. my phone always locks because i use google pay... did the setting below.. and like magic... im receiving notifications on my ionic... yeahhhhh!!!😀
Make sure 'Show notifications on the lock screen and play notification sounds' and 'Show and sound reminders when my phone is locked' are on. Find these settings under System > Notifications & actions. Make sure you allow the Fitbit app to access your notifications. Find this setting under Privacy > Notifications.
Best AnswerSettings>notifications>
Turn off "suggest actions and replies" and
Turn off "show snooze option
I'm using the Samsung S10e and this worked for me
Best AnswerI know it is frustrating, and annoying, and then some!
I had the same problem with 3 Versas, and 2 Ionics (I kept exchanging for new ones).
I tried every fix that Fitbit suggested, and some from the community board. Finally someone at Best Buy (in New Jersey) suggested that I unpair the Ionic with my android phone, and uninstall the apps - then restart (reboot) the Ionic, pair again, reinstall the apps, and reboot my phone. After 3 attempts, of doing all of that, everything synced, and notification were received; that was until I downloaded the weather app, and that would not sync, and no notifications again. I unpaired etc once again, and the Ionic notifications, and apps, have been working absolutely fine since (for the past 5+ months).
One other tip: Try doing all of the above syncing over WiFi, it works better and faster than Bluetooth.
I hope this helps! When it does you will love the Ionic.

PS: I have been a longtime user, and believer in Fitbit, but have been angry that they have always been slow to remedy their apps' problems, and others. Having said that - I believe there is too many good things within this "first real fitness tracker company," with many better things to come once Google acquires them. Google would not be pursuing them if there isn't much to be gained, and then I think the problems will be taken care of much more quickly.
[That is if the Fitbit stockholders receive a more fair offer than the $7 +change Google is now offering, and the acquisition is accepted]
Best AnswerFinally, a solution that works!!! Thank you for ending my notification nightmare!!
