Ionic not reporting GPS properly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Ionic is  not reporting GPS data accurately.  It appears to be logging the data, but not reporting it correctly.   I can see that this is true because the full course is shown on the map screen,  but is inaccurate on other screens.  Shown below is the exercise summary screen.  Note the straight line towards the bottom

On the next Screen.   The total course is all there,  but the distance is all wrong.

On the Heart rate screen, the entire course is here, but there are added lines, one of which corresponds to the straight line shown on the summary page.

The Speed Page is similar, but there are few straight lines

The PC app  only shows the truncated course   Since the map screen shows the entire course,  I can assume the gps was working the whole time.  but it may be that the software is incorrectly recording the data or displaying it incorrectly.    Any thoughts?

This affects me too, and is the reason I am looking for answers today and stumbled on your post.

I do know, from experience, that the straight line is due to the GPS dropping connection.

I recently did a virtual marathon, also tracking with MapMyRun.  The Fitbit showed 26.2 at mile 20.  I had to use MapMyRun for more accurate GPS tracking.  So wondering why I should purchase a watch with GPS capability if I have to use my phone anyway.
