Ionic not syncing correct steps

My Ionic says 1917 steps and when I sync it my account tonight says 497 ( which is w .net at it was at 10:17am).  It has been doing this for 3 days now.  HELP please.

Thanks for sharing your inquiry, let me help you out. By any chance did you manually log it an activity? When you manually log an activity, its step and calorie data override the data automatically detected by your tracker during the same time period. This ensures that your steps are not counted twice as long as the manually logged activity has the correct start time and duration. It wouldn't harm your tracker to perform a restart.
