My notifications from all sources - email, txt and msger keep repeating. Is there a way to only get a notification once.

Welcome to the Community @Jillyw. This is pretty weird, the notifications shouldn't repeat. I would like you to try the following, restart your Ionic and perform the steps provided in this article, such as (force quit the app, reset Bluetooth, refresh notifications and set them up once again)
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

The constant "restart the fitbit" or "re-set-up the fitbit" for every problem is making me seriously think about returning it. Between the constant repeated notifications and the lack of syncing with each charge, there has got to be a better way than always having to restart the watch.

Pixel, 27.32.4.19 firmware, newest version of android app, macOS High Sierra with newest FitBit Connect.
This is not "SOLVED." I have removed and factory reset everything, phone and watch, and reinstalled everything, and even updated to 27.32.4.19 firmware and still I am getting notifications over and over and over. Any time I get a notification I get notifications for things going back many days. The constant, repeating buzzing on my wrist every few seconds makes me want to throw this watch through the window.
Now, I have done this full reset and reinstall twice because, of course, this isn't the only problem I'm having with this watch. I also can't get it to load music without telling me storage is full. Mind you, there is absolutely nothing on this watch except the apps that it comes with. It doesn't tell me when a call is coming in, it doesn't wake up when I turn my wrist even though it's set to (I can occasionally make it happen with some violent jerking motions), and it often stops syncing entirely after I charge it. The only answer FitBit ever gives on these forums is to reinstall everything. I had hoped that some of these issues might be addressed with the update this weekend. It's possible the syncing problem after charging got better, but that seems to be it.
Is there any plan to actually fix any of this? Are you still telling people this watch does more things than your basic fitness tracker does? Is there a reason I shouldn't return it while I'm still in the return period? I seriously want to know. I like the watch conceptually, but I paid a lot of money for functions that it doesn't actually have, functions I had on my cheaper, dear departed Pebble for a few years. Did I unknowingly become a Beta tester?

Sadly, I've got to agree with LittleAbby's concerns. I love so many things about the watch, but first and foremost I want a watch that allows me to silence my phone and still know when I'm getting texts, emails, and calendar events (just like my Pebbles did). The repeating notifications a couple of times a day is a deal-breaker for me. I've got 40 days or so left for Fitbit's coders to figure it out or I'll be sending mine back to Fitbit.

I'm pretty sure we're all unwitting beta testers and because of this, I will not be purchasing another Fitbit item, period. My notifications repeat constantly and there's no way to fix it that I've found. I have to restart bluetooth for almost every function my Charge HR has, I have to periodically reset my Fitbit altogether to regain basic functionality, I've had to replace the band 3 different times, and the Aria scale that I got to accompany mine and my husband's Fitbit devices failed within the first year. No thank you.

I purchased the Inspire HR a couple of weeks ago to replace my beloved Alta. And I am having the same issues where notifications are repeatedly appearing. I have a notification for example for tomorrow. It has beeped up at least 12 times today so I am constantly closing it. As soon as I close it it beeps up again.... It's driving me crazy. I have notifications set on my iPhone XR and am running the latest IOS and Fitbit app.... I am seriously thinking of dumping the Inspire HR.
I also have the issue that alarms aren't always working, and also texts aren't beeping up, but in hindsight no text or whatapp notifications is probably a good thing or I would have thrown the thing out of the window as it would also probably repeat all day long when it is set to beep up once.......
Fitbit developers, please help us. We are losing our minds. I understand it's hard to work out the issues as I also work in software development, but please do something or your good reputation will be lost.

Hi! I’m not going to blame Fitbit on the repeated notifications. I had no occurrence of it until Apple did a major OS update with 13.2. Bluetooth connectivity is suddenly a major problem (phone to car connectivity completely stopped working, as just one example) and while Apple has fixed some aspects, they still haven’t fixed everything. The repeated notifications are definitely annoying so hopefully there is a fix soon!

I also have a Fitbit inspire that I got to replace my Alta that I lost. I am also running mine along with my iPhone XR.
I am having the EXACT same issues as you are. As soon as midnight hits I start getting calendar notifications for the day that repeat until finally I’m sooo fed up that I delete the event altogether and pray I remember it myself. Clearly this is a HUGE ISSUE that many people are having. There has to be a better fix than constantly resetting and restarting everything I own.

It's just after 9:00 am local time, and, according to my FitBit, my buddy David has had nine birthdays since midnight. And I've had a **ahem**ty night's sleep.

This problem of repeat notifications continues. Seriously looking for a replacement. Fitbit is unfit.

I too am having every issue and feeling you have described 😕. Constantly waking me in the night with repeat old notifications (rarely new) when I have it set to not do so (I have actually thrown in across the room), then I could be in a meeting and it's buzzy away and distracting me. I've gotten to the point that I just ignore it and then miss notifications that I otherwise would like to get... The screen wakes when it wants to, so I just got use to pushing the button to wake, which defeats the purpose of that feature.. this is my 2nd fitbit and I love it, but with all these issues, my daughter has an Apple and it's sounding better and better..

Not resolved!
Update Sunday, April 10, 2022
Fitbit Inspire HR/iPhone 8/iOS14.4.2 (18D70)
In the last hour alone, I have been reminded to refill the outside dog water bowl a good 20 times +. Literally every 2-5 min it goes off. Yep. I know. Thanks. I’m kinda busy making my human kids their lunch. I’ll get to that after. 🙄 It’s very annoying, distracting, counter productive, & kills my Fitbit battery. Nothing Fitbit suggests works. For this or any other issue I’ve had. In my humble opinion. They’re aware but don’t care. The only thing that makes it stop is clearing it off of my iPhone. Which, again, is counter productive. I love my device but the user interface is buggy as all get out & customer service is next to non existent as they have no helpful customer service. Unfortunately. Fitbit is the main brand for simple trackers. Garmin offers one but the bands aren’t interchangeable/replaceable. After having to replace my Charge back in the day for that very reason, I refuse to do that again. I really wish they would listen to their customers & fix these issues.
