Ionic's feedback

All, I have had a very disappointing experience with the Ionic and Fitbit as support.  In a nut shell, I paid $270 for this watch and it does not hold a charge for over 8 hrs after 18 months.  Fitbit will not stand behind the quality of the Ionic and replace, instead they offered me 25% a future purchase as I am "a loyal supporter."  By my math that would be spending $470 for a watch in total that has no guarantee of lasting beyond another 12 months.  Im moving on, for that kind of money, Apple watch series 4 GPS + Cellular seems like a much better option.

Do you realize that your 6 months past the warranty? In what way does Fitbit not stand behind their product? They are under no obligation to offer a discount.

As for the battery, has it been cared for properly? Not let get below 30% if possible?

Thanks, in case you missed it, YES i am aware that im 6 months past the
warranty. I failed to mention this problem began about 6 weeks ago. Maybe
you find value in spending $270 on item lasts less than 18 months, and find
it perfectly reasonable to spend another $200 to fix or replace for another
12 months but I find that almost criminal. I suppose your expectations are
different than mine. And yes, it has been cared for properly, but when the
battery suddenly drains to zero in less than 8 hours without warning or
email alerts it can be difficult to be exact.

Agree completely. Ionic is a piece of junk. I get stuck on the screen wake/notifications screen constantly and can't see the time...buttons don't work...went to fitbit support and was told that it is a known issue and they won't do anything about it. The help desk person told me to bring it to the fit bit community, that is it. Tough to have a watch where you can't see the actual time. second straight fit bit watch that hasn't worked. First one, Versa, went completely dead in 6 months. I shouldn't have taken them up on their offer to purchase the Ionic at a discounted cost. Complete sunk cost for me right now.

Apparently Im being reprimanded by fit bit for calling there products junk.  Further, they are standing by there warranty policy, they find it reasonable to sell products of this quality.  The message is clear, they prefer I move on, so I shall.  I just leave you all with this strong cautionary tale of "buyer be ware."
