It’s crazy! I seen on another forum that you can manually enter the steps back in but any steps entered manually don’t count towards any challenges you are in so what’s the point. It’s as if both the app and the ionic have just erased my last 3-4 syncs. I hope Fitbit respond with a solution to this soon
Best AnswerI just talked to a representative over chat. After some very basic troubleshooting steps, I was told nothing could be done and let them know if I continue to have this issue. Um? Isn't the point trying to figure out what caused the issue so it DOESN'T happen again?? So yeah. Nothing was fixed. 🙄
Best AnswerI have Versa 2 and have lost over 30,000 steps today it has gone off 4 different times telling me I met my goal of over 20,000 and then I'm back down to 3,xxx the first time I noticed then it went off again and about an hour after activity checked and was back down to 16,xxx only then it went off again a few seconds after it went off I looked and back down to 15,xxx the last time it went of was watching the fireworks sorta thing and once that was done it was back to 18,xxx. Obviously there is an error going on since more then just me is noticing it and it seems to be happening on different devices too. I do the fitbit as part of my work wellness benefit and I need the 20,000 a day at least to get my benefit. What's going on when will they correct this and give us our steps back?
I exercised this morning and the steps achieved haven't registered on the dashboard of my Ionic or on my phone app. Yet the activity with associated steps is in the exercise section of the phone app along with the map of the route taken. I am therefore short of my total steps for the day. It has been fine up until today.
Best AnswerTwo days running now. This is getting annoying. It’s dropped me from 6k to 1.5k
I lost 7000 steps yesterday because of this and now it just wiped out 13,000 steps from this morning!!!! what the heck is going on FITBIT!!!!
Best AnswerI’ve spent Ages on chat with them today and gone through everything from resetting my phone to a hard reset on my ionic. I am now having to set it up as if new, therefore starting it all over again. Hopefully this works but if it happens again I’ll be straight back on to them. I said others were saying on here it was happening to them but they can’t seem to answer the question as to why
Best Answeruuggggghhhhhhh. I have tried hard reset on the ionic, on my iphone, blue tooth on and off, turned it off and let it sit. Nothing. 13000 steps just gone. PLUS i am in a challenge!!!!!! this is insane.
Best AnswerYeh they have told me there is no way of recovering the lost steps. You can manual,y input them using the exercise section of the app but anything input in this way doesn’t get count on challenges so not much point in my eyes. More than a little frustrating
Best AnswerHappened to me too! My Ionic kept resetting to 3,650 steps (which I had at 8:30 am this morning) and after testing it tonight would get to 4,200 and then revert back to 3,650 with each sync.
I reckon I’ve lost about 12,000 steps
This happened to me previously about a year ago and turned out to be a firmware update.
Best AnswerYesterday I lost 12,000 steps. I called customer service and they couldn't fix the issue. I just had it happen again this morning. Went from over 3,000 steps to 9.
Best Answerthis stinks!!!! I chatted with them at length this morning and done all they said to do. Nothing worked. I lost 7000 yesterday and 13000 today already!!! To top it all off when nothing worked they guy said to do a hard restart and ended the chat. I am so over Fitbit!!!! this will be my last product with them
Best AnswerMine started happening yesterday as well. Something had to change for all of us to have the same problem.
Best AnswerThey are now saying that they are aware of the issue and are working on an update to fix it but cannot say when it will be fixed. My Fitbit won’t even sync at all now
