Ionic stops the exercise from the watch display

Since I upgraded the firmware 70.8 I have experienced problems whereby halfway through an elliptical exercise, the start calibration kicks in and stops the exercise (or it appears to stop the exercise from the watch display). However, it does register the exercise when I sync back.

The solution here would probably be to calibrate the watch. However some people do not want to Recalibrate immediately after upgrading their firmware. The correct behaviour of the watch should be to suppress calibration checking whilst an exercise is taking place.

Hi @mestebanez, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your Fitbit Ionic stops the exercise from the watch display since updating the firmware to 70.8. Thank you for providing the additional details, I am glad to assist you with that. I appreciate your suggestions, our team is always working on our products and services, and your comments are always welcome.

I recommend restarting your watch by following these steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the issue persists, please let me know the following for further investigation:

  • How long were you running the exercises?
  • Were you listening to music on your device when doing the exercise?
  • Do you have Exercise Goals set?

By the way, I've moved your post to Ionic board so we can keep our forums organized.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
