Ionic stops tracking during swim

I have seen others having similar problems with other types of exercises.  I push start, and it tracks for a while, then just stops tracking mid-swim and returns to the main watch face. I have to restart the exercise tracking, and none of the first part of the swim is recorded.  Continues to happen even after restarting the ionic.

@Stevewhea Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing while tracking swim exercises with Ionic.

 

Is this happening every time you swim? Is it happening with other exercise types as well? 

 

I'd recommend performing a restart on your Ionic. This should help you out with this.

 

Also, a new Fitbit Ionic OS version is out (OS 2.1)! It is a progressive roll out in case you haven't received the updated yet. Please feel free to update Ionic once you receive it. Check this post for more details.
