Ionic stuck on 0% and won't charge

My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

Mine did it again too.. I'm not happy either only had it for 3 months if
that. Way too expensive to be having this issue. Sending it back to fitbit
they said they'll replace it. Ridiculous! SMH

Its awful isnt it. The trouble is I've been on a mission to get at least
10,000 steps a day every day & i have since 2016 so if i send it back i
wont be able to get the steps. Not that i can anyway with no battery. Not
happy with it at all 😞

Hi guys, thanks for sharing your Ionic's behavior. We found an internal message that might suggest that an alternative power source should be tried, please don't use hub extenders, nor car's battery chargers to charge the Ionic, try alternative USB ports or wall outlets ensuring to use U/L certified adapters.

Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or a UL-certified USB wall charger.

Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the watch until attaches magnetically.

Charging fully takes up to 2 hours. While the watch charges, you can tap the screen or press any button to check the battery level.

If after the 1-2 hours you don't get anything on the display, check if the contacts on your tracker or charging cable are not dirty. Dust and debris can accumulate over time and prevent a charge. Try cleaning them by following these instructions.

Give this a shot and let me know the outcome!

Since you bought it through Best Buy, you will need to ask them about the replacement process.  If you had bought it through Fitbit, then you could contact Support directly and ask them for it.

The watch say 0% and it won’t turn on the charger won’t work. I can’t do a factory reset. Very frustrating. This watch isn’t even 8 months old.

Did you try to clean the contacts, both the watch and the cable?

this is the second time mine has done this and it was a christmas gift this year.  I cant reset on the watch because it will not power on.  Is there a factory reset on line?

Same issue here as well. Tried different ways to charge and nothing happens. The Ionic heats up but doesn’t charge. Can’t do any resets because it won’t turn on at all.

Try pushing all 3 buttons at the same time whilst on charge and mine worked.

Hi guys! Thanks for taking the time to follow my tips and recommendations for this issue.

In regards to Best Buy, since you've purchased from a retailer, you'll need to return your product directly to the retailer and follow their return and refund process. This information is generally printed on your receipt, though you may also find it on the retailer's website. Note that we're unable to influence retailer policies.

On the other hand, you can go ahead and contact our Support Team directly (either if you purchased your tracker from an authorize retailer or Fitbit.com Store) by selecting your preferred channel: https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs

Let me know if you need further assistance!

Its not looking good for this products! Bought it 24 hours ago and zero battery charge, I have tried several posts on my laptop and Surface, tried a few different wall based connectors. There is a connection as it vibrates for about a minute when I place it on charge, the connection I must say is poor, its hard to tell if it is connected as its such a weak connection with the charger, though it must be as a few times the icon has flashed up and it tells me to log onto the app. The battery shows as zero %, but doesn't charge, my assumption is if there is a vibration there is a connection, there are many comments here about collecting dust over time yet my products is brand new. I cant restart or re set the device as there isn't enough charge to do so, yet the app I have downloaded states is it connected and has synced to my device which shows 100% battery charge on my phone when Bluetooth is on? I also had to use am email address I did not want to as my other emails are classed as being connected or already registered to a devise...does this mean no one can change their emails address if they ever had an old account??? I had an old fit bit a few years ago, haven't used it yet I cant use that mail now, that's a bit dark ages. As there are many comments about this it is obviously a common fault, this makes me wish I had just payed the extra $150 and bought the Garmin I was undecided about, shame, I was looking forward to using this, there isn't even another product in store as I am rural I had to have this one shipped  from the WA capital 😞
